C3 SystemS supports Italy

From C3 SystemS we would like to show our support towards the Italian citizenship, which has been severely affected by last week’s disastrous floods.

According to the latest records, at least 29 people lost their lives last weekend due to widespread heavy rains throughout the country. The Palermo region, on the island of Sicily, has been one of the most affected.

The Italian authorities mobilized the army to check the status of the main roads in Sicily, where traffic was blocked in many areas. The Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, referred to these events as "an immense tragedy" during his visit to Sicily on Sunday.

The natural heritage of the north also suffered a serious impact, with millions of trees uprooted. The Department of Civil Protection of Italy considers this catastrophe as "one of the most complex weather conditions in the last 60 years".

In addition, this institution also reported that six regions are still on orange alert due to the rains: Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Emilia-Romagna in the north, and Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia in the south.

We hope that the damage will not continue worsening, and the Italian society can recover from this sad event as soon as possible.
